Reverend Dr.Eu on Article 153
Article 153 should be inclusive, otherwise it is ‘bullying’, says Christian leader
SUBANG JAYA, Dec 24 — The Federal Constitution’s Article 153 is akin to “bullying” if it only protects the rights of one group, top church leader Reverend Dr Eu Hong Seng said today.

December 24, 2011

The National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF) chairman said the rights in any nation cannot be scrutinised in a vacuum.
“I think we need to talk about the rights of others as well under article 153.
“When we talk of rights of only one group, if I may suggest, that is bullying,” he (picture) said at the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) Christmas hi-tea here at the Full Gospel Tabernacle.
The annual event was attended by Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu Koon, MCA’s Loh Seng Kok, DAP’s Hannah Yeoh, PKR’s Chua Tian Chang, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and Datuk Seri Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
The reverend said nation building must be collective and for it to work, it has to be inclusive of everybody’s rights, including the East and West Malaysians, Indians, Chinese, Orang Aslis, Malays, the Sikhs and indigenous people.
Eu pointed out that democracy used to mean elected representatives are there to serve the people.
“Today, Malaysian democracy means elected representatives can threaten the people and get away with it.
“This should not be so, and we, the people of the book, are not afraid to say so,” Eu said.
The Christian leader had previously been outspoken about the controversy surrounding the raid on the Damansara Utama Methodist Church (DUMC) on August 3.
He had repeatedly stressed that there has not been any concrete proof of proselytisation, as claimed by certain quarters.
The contentious raid escalated religious conflict between Muslims and Christians in the country, with Malay newspapers highlighting allegations of Christians trying to convert Muslims through welfare work.

KEZALIMAN TENTERA BRITISH.
Tentera british bunuh orang kampung batang kali (mesti baca)

ANYTHING BUT UMNO/BN - ABU
ASALKAN BUKAN umno
Posted on December 9, 2011

Layman's understanding of the 2012 budget.
Subject: A LAYMAN'S INTERPRETATION OF NAJIB'S 2012 BUDGET
Being only a retired military officer, I may be blind to the economic facts, but certainly not stupid to swallow a pack of untruths (I do not like to use the word lies). Firstly, a bunch of 'one off" handouts that mainly makes the civil servants, soldiers, policemen, pensioners happy. Then some populist moves across the board to give everyone hope.
Now, I wonder and ask some searching questions: 1. Is there a long term investment beyond 2012 in the budget? Nyet,Nadai,Nien,Bo liau,Tadak,Yillai!!!! So, is it wrong for me to assume that the whole idea is to con the people into an election victory and then do the fire fighting/damage control etc. later? How often have you heard recently from govt depts, "Allocation ada, duit belum terima". Here, they were playing a mahjong game, with the skills of a Tai Chi exponent. It gets us by, believe me, but it doesn't solve the problem. 2. How can Jibby confidently predict a 5 to 6 % GDP growth in 2012 to "afford" the expenditure, when the world is on the brink of an impendingdouble dip recession? I would guess that 4 to 4.5% would be more realistic at most. Now here lies the biggest failure.
THERE IS NO CONTINGENCY WHATSOEVER IF THE RECESSION KICKS IN!!!! Remember, failure to plan is planning a failure. 3. How is the deficit gap going to close? There is no clear cut plans onprudent spending against added revenue collection. The Capital Gains Tax increase is a drop in the ocean. More money can be collected from stamp duties due to the volume of transactions anyway. Yes, there is transformation; from one area of unproductiveness to another area of unproductiveness. Budget deficits translate into debts. Debt servicing was RM12.8 billion in 2008. For 2012, it is estimated to be RM20.5 billion - an increase of nearly 60%." Let's do the math-take interest rate at 5%, RM12.8 billion debt service charges in 2008 would make federal government debt at RM256 billion.
Now with debt service charges at RM20.5 billion, the federal government's debt is projected at RM410 billion. This is an increase of RM154 billion from 2008 to 2012, an average increase of RM38.5 billion per year. That would now be the nation's annual actual deficit!!!!! Yes, I have tears in my eyes too, because my children will have to pay for it. 4. Where is Jibby going to get the money? Yes, from us, my friends, the long suffering 1.7 million tax payers. The long awaited GST will be shoved in after the election. Mark my words. The EPF (Employees Provident Fund) and other government-linked funds will be asked to do national service by investing in debt papers issued by the government. Again, a case of using the peoples'money to bail out a financially weak government. So, in essence I say, look at the forest my dear friends and now tell me how they are ruining my beloved Malaysia. Call me a pessimist, non believer, not a risk taker etc. but I ask- CAN YOU RUN A COUNTRY ON BORROWED TIME? The answer is YES! If you are a leader living on borrowed time.May God Bless Us All.

DIPPED IN THE AMBIGUITY......
DUMC - Jais: Bishop Troubled by Sultan's Statement
Terence Nett Oct 1
Catholic Bishop Paul Tan Chee Ing described the statement from the Sultan of Selangor on the Selangor Islamic Affairs Department (Jais) report on alleged proselytisation of Muslims by Christians at the Damansara Utama Methodist Centre last August as “dipped in the ambiguity that would make wanton accusations against Christians no more difficult in the future than it is now.”
“Begging the Tuanku’s pardon, how is it possible to assert that there were attempts to deviate the faith of Muslim attendees at the dinner function at the DUMC but there is, then, not sufficient evidence to prefer charges,” queried the titular head of Catholics in the Malacca-Johor diocese, in an immediate response to a statement on the matter issued today by the Sultan.
“If there is not enough evidence, there ought to be no imputation of wrongdoing – it’s as simple as that!” exclaimed Tan (above), who is concurrently president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Malaysia.
“As it stands now, the Sultan’s statement paints the Christian organisers of the dinner function as having been given a discharge not amounting to acquittal from accusations that they proselytised to Muslims,” he asserted.
“I would have much preferred no statement at all to one that is neither here nor there,” offered the Jesuit-trained prelate. "Christians have waited patiently for exoneration from false accusations by people whose intent is to grandstand on behalf of their losing causes,” said the bishop.
“It’s a good thing the general election is imminent, because there seems to be no let-up in this ugly campaign of innuendo and insinuation against Christians, so that the ballot box becomes our only recourse from persecution by vile slander,” he concluded.

Peranakan Chinese and Baba-Nyonya are terms used for the descendants of late 15th and 16th-century Chinese immigrants to the Indonesian archipelago of Nusantara during the Colonial era.
Members of this community in Melaka address themselves as "Nyonya Baba" instead of "Baba-Nyonya". Nyonya is the term for the ladies and Baba for the gentlemen. It applies especially to the ethnic Chinese populations of the British Straits Settlements of Malaya and the Dutch-controlled island of Java and other locations, who have adopted partially or in full Nusantara customs to be somewhat assimilated into the local communities. They were the elites of Singapore, more loyal to the British than to China. Most have lived for generations along the straits of Malacca and not all intermarried with the local Native Indonesians and Malays. They were usually traders, the middleman of the British and the Chinese, or the Chinese and Malays, or vice versa because they were mostly English educated. Because of this, they almost always had the ability to speak two or more languages. In later generations, some lost the ability to speak Chinese as they became assimilated to the Malay Peninsula's culture and started to speak Malay fluently as a first or second language.
While the term Peranakan is most commonly used among the ethnic Chinese for those of Chinese descent also known as Straits Chinese (土生華人; named after the Straits Settlements), there are also other, comparatively small Peranakan communities, such as Indian Hindu Peranakans (Chitty), Indian Muslim Peranakans (Jawi Pekan) (Jawi being the Javanised Arabic script,[2] Pekan a colloquial contraction of Peranakan[2]) and Eurasian Peranakans (Kristang[2]) (Kristang = Christians).[2][3] The group has parallels to the Cambodian Hokkien, who are descendants of Hoklo Chinese. They maintained their culture partially despite their native language gradually disappearing a few generations after settlement.[4

Another Penang initiative that will surely be copied by Be End hahaha
RM1,000 for Penang school leavers entering tertiary institutions

SEBERANG PERAI (Aug 28, 2011): A total of 1,375 secondary school leavers from Penang who will be continuing their studies at public higher learning institutions will receive RM1,000 from the state government this year.
The money is intended help them defray costs for their travel and student affairs expenses.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng (pix) expressed hope that those who received the money will return to Penang to contribute to the state's development.
He said this was because the state had many career opportunities, as evident in it being able to attract some RM12 billion in investments last year, the highest in Malaysia.
“Penang is also cleaner, greener and safer now,” he said, citing reduction in crime by 72 percent last year.
He said this when presenting 30 students with their aid money during a ceremony at the Dewan JKR in Bukit Mertajam here today.
Lim also handed out RM1,000 each to 71 beneficiaries under the state’s Senior Citizens Appreciation Scheme in which the next-of-kin receives the payment upon the death of the registrant.
The money is to defraying funeral and related expenses.
“Taking care of those who took care of us when we were young is the right and proper thing to do,” he said.

HIDUP TUNKU AZIZ IBRAHIM!!!!
Mengenali Tunku Aziz – Bahagian Pertama
15 September 2011
“Maksudnya saya sangat-sangat aktif.
Atas dorongan guru besar Tunku, F.J.
“Sekolah pun kekurangan.
Kita dah terima pertolongan.
Jadi masa tu lagi kita berasa kita kena berusaha,” jelas Tunku panjang lebar apabila ditanya kenapa memilih Sains Politik dan Sejarah.
“Selepas saya balik, Salleh Ben Joned pula ganti jadi pengarang Togatus.
“Awak tahu kenapa adik saya bertegas?
“Tetapi sekarang dah lain.

FROM THE BLOGGER SAKMONGKOL-AK47
Friday, September 16, 2011The Smell of Defeats hangs in the Air....Najib blinks!
The Face of a Man in Fear
See what people power can do! After over two years in power it would seems that common sense and the real possibility of losing a general election has finally hammered into Najib's head of the need to do away with detention without trial:
“No individual will ever be detained simply due to political ideology.”...ahem these are not the words of Nelson Mandela but these are the words of our own Najib Razak!
Now here is the thing…I knew that no individual should be detained because of his political ideology many years ago –from the time of ops lallang and even way before that. So do many hundreds of thousands of Malaysian. And yet it has taken the Barisan Nasional government only now – September 2011 to realize it?
Remember the brutal crackdown by PDRM on the Bersih Rally just a few month ago?
Now what has changed? In these few months what has made Najib changed his mind so that he can now says with a straight face and hand on his heart that “No individual will ever be detained simply due to political ideology.” What has put the fear of God into that pudgy face and made him back down?
I put it to you that nothing will change! I put it to you that individuals will still be detained simply due to political ideology. The power of detention will not be shifted from the executive to the judiciary because the judiciary takes their orders from their political masters -and their political masters is the Basrisan Nasional government. Have we not seen this time and time again?
We have always had an Attorney General that understands that his tenure as AG is entirely in the hands of the Prime Minister. The AG sits like a dog that he is at the feet of our PM begging for a bone to be thrown to him.
The last CJ we had was not only an active and eager UMNO machai but also a criminal who thought nothing of cheating on his wife and family by illegally marrying another wife and he then tried to circumvent the laws of our country by doing it in another country – and when confronted with the deed he did all that he could to cover it up by getting rid of the physical evidence of the said illegal marriage. And yet he is amply rewarded for his tenure as CJ by a generous retirement package expressly passed through parliament for this machai of UMNO.
And Najib has the gall to say that “the power of detention will be shifted from the executive to the judiciary” when he knows, and we know, that it is one and the same thing?
So tell me Najib how is it possible that the very laws that has been in place to protect the peace, harmony and security of the country can now be repealed also for the peace, harmony and security of the country?
Do you think that we are that stupid? You are a yellow livered coward that will do anything - even sell your own grandmother and sullied Tun Razak’s reputation as a Malay and UMNO leader – if you think it will win you votes at the general election.
And you say that you will do away with the need for annual publishing permits under the printing Presses and Publications Act! Pray tell me Najib….when did you get that eureka moment? That eureka moment that told you that too many people who can vote are against the Printing Presses and Publications Act? That the same people have not only been vocal about their disquiet of this act but are joining the opposition in droves and are actively working against the interest of the Barisan Nasional government through participation in Bersih and the activities of Pakatan Rakyat right across the nation in preparation of the 13 general elections?
When Najib….when did you get that eureka moment?
The repeal of the ISA and scrapping of the PPPA happened because opposition to the Barisan Nasional government has started to hurt Barisan Nasional. BN has thrown everything it can at Pakatan Rakyat and the people with Pakatan Rakyat – but to no avail.
What was once quiet opposition to the BN government has now manifested itself in overt physical demonstration of the people’s demand for CHANGE. Not only for change of a Prime Minister or his Ministers but change of a rotting, diseased and cancerous tumour within our midst call Barsian Nasional which is led by UMNO!
What has not happened is that this movement has yet to gain the momentum that it once had before the 12th general election. It had not done so because before the 12th general election the momentum for change came from within the people – Pakatan Rakyat merely provided the focus for the people to channel their disgust and revulsion of Barisan Nasional.
In this 13th general election the people are looking at Pakatan Rakyat to lead them into the general election and PR has been found wanting and slow to take the initiative to lead – and Najib and Barisan Nasional knows this.
And so they hope to take the initiative away from Pakatan Rakyat – and the repeal of the ISA and the PPPA is one of the ways they choose to do so.
But I think the people will not be fooled. If Najib had repealed the ISA and the PPPA when he first came to office 29 months ago then maybe the goodwill he would have generated by doing so would have swept him through any general elections. Pak Lah failed to do what he told us he will do when he came to office and the people punished him at the 12th general elections. Najib will find that the people have long memories. Some have had bruises and broken bones from being pummeled and whacked by PDRM. Many have borne the brunt of corruption within government departments and had been the victims of PDRM’s greed for graft and suffered from PDRM's arrogance. Many have died in Police custody and some murdered without mercy in gun battles with police - where the police have the guns and the victims nothing! Day in and day out we are bombarded with financial mismanagement that has costs our nation billions. Too many abuses, too many lies and too many arrogant BN ministers treating us all with disdain and contempt.
No Najib these rafts of changes you announced last night…I will tell you what you can do with it…or better still I will tell you what the people will do with it.
They will do what they have done with all those empty promises, masquerades and silap mata you have done before…put all these raft of promises on a raft and push it down river towards the white water class VI rapids and let it all sink – and then we will vote Pakatan Rakyat! MERDEKA! Long live Pakatan Rakyat!

THE UNGRATEFUL ADMINISTRATION....
SUGAR AND FROZEN DURIAN
A good read. (not sure who the author is..By 忠政快讯
Some friends have requested translation for the piece on Sugar King Robert Kuok's history. Thanks to Google translate with some corrections.
Knowledge is empowering. Reading is knowledge.
Recently, the government offended Robert Kuok, as a result, the Malaysian economy suffered a great blow! After the official Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's visit to Malaysia , the Najib government now really understands Robert Kuok's influence on China !
In order to benefit their cronies, they arm twisted to swallow Robert Kuok's sugar empire. The cronies get richer by 10 billions, but it caused a national loss of more than 200 billion! Those who have insider info can only curse: PKHKC it!
Malaysia sugar king was forced to leave Malaysia , but became the world's sugar king! He bought the world's largest sugar mills in Australia, invested USD10 billion, it is the world's largest sugar cane sugar refining industry, living up to the name of the world's sugar king.
On the other hand, the Malaysia government benefited cronies at the expense of national interests. For those who have insider info, Kuok offered immense help to the Malaysian government in the past few decades, he has done everything possible; but what the government did was like what you will get when you turn over a pig stomach: faeces. In other words, Najib Government is UNGRATEFUL!
In the "Confidential" news, is about the Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's visit to Malaysia recently, it hit a snag with Najib.
Prior to Premier Wen Jiabao's visit to Malaysia , Najib and his cabinet on more than one occasion, hinted that he hoped China will double the amount of palm oil with Malaysia .
We all know that China is the largest consumer of palm oil from Malaysia . Rapid economic rise in the recent years, China became the largest palm oil market for Malaysia , but Malaysia has also strong competition from Indonesia , trying to sell palm oil at lower prices to China and India , diluting the Malaysian market share. This is most worrying for Najib.
Najib hoped to sign a new palm oil trading contracts with Premier Wen Jiabao to sign in order to more than double the average 10 million tonnes monthly export to China . But Wen Jiabao came to a Malaysia , told Najib, it is impossible. It was an utter disappointment.
Najib knows the Chinese market demand. Even to import one million tonnes of palm oil daily, is not a problem. So, where is the problem?
The problem is Sugar Kuok does not agree!
Why was Sugar Kuok able to influence China 's decision to buy Malaysian palm oil?
Who is the monopoly of Chinese national oil market? China national oil market leader is "Arowana" cooking oil, accounting for nearly 40%! The Arowana cooking oil boss, is Robert Kuok!
Think about it, Premier Wen Jiabao on behalf of the Chinese government to buy Malaysian palm oil. Who is going to refine it into cooking oil? Of course, it is the privatized enterprises! With 40% market share, if Arowana cooking oil company refuses the supply, how is the Chinese government going to utilize the supply?
Najib was insensible from the start, and did not know Kuok had such big influence in China . He had helped cronies, forced Robert Kuok to give up the Malaysian sugar king throne, and didn’t expect to have such quick retribution
Kuok was forced to leave Malaysia , his heart is of course very unhappy. People of Malaysia must know, during the early days of Malaysia , we did not have aviation professionals, the BN government requested Kuok's father to help set up Malayan Airways.
1970 Malaysian maritime shipping industry is also a vacuum, the Malaysian government sent representatives to Hong Kong to personally invite Kuok's help. For national development, Kuok put aside the Group's business, came back to Malaysia to assist the Government to establish a national maritime shipping industry, this later transformed into MALAYSIA INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING CORPORATION, referred to as MISC.
Robert Kuok was a big help when Malaysia repeatedly faced economic difficulties. Even in MCA Tan Koon Swan’s case, it was Robert Kuok who paid the bail! Malaysia's successive governments, from BN to the National Front, owed Robert Kuok a hell of a lot. But the Malaysian Government was ungrateful, using the hard arm twisting excuse to forcefully take over Kuok's empire. This is not ungrateful?
Deng Xiaoping made a comeback in the 70s, announced China's reform and needed most generous help of overseas Chinese entrepreneurs; Robert was first to take actions to help Deng. Among the other entrepreneurs of Chinese economic miracle are Henry Fok and Li Ka-shing Hong Kong . Malaysian entrepreneur Robert Kuok is the first to response to Deng Xiaoping in Beijing and built China 's first five-star hotels: Shangri-La!
With over 30 years of deep relationship with the Chinese government and leadership, Kuok has great influence. Najib failed to recognise that. This is why the quote at the start of this post : For the interests of their cronies, they arm twisted to take over Kuok's Sugar Empire, cronies get rich by the 10s of billions, but it caused a national loss of more than 200 billion!
Kuok's sugar empire was eaten by the fat vampire's family abruptly. Imagine, a world renowned international trade business personality, what humiliation he received in return for his single-minded help all this while for his own country & government? And Najib would never think that the consequences of offending the Sugar King will be so so serious.
Right after Sugar King left Malaysia , he immediately announced the acquisition of Australia 's biggest sugar factory. This is the world supplier of raw material for sugar manufacturing. Of course, this includes supplying to the family of the fat vampire woman's sugar factory in Perlis.
Early this year, Kuok announced plans to invest USD 10 billion in Indonesia for development of the world's largest sugar cane growing areas, as well as advanced refinery. The world economy was facing a downturn, the Malaysian government travelled around the world to solicit investment. How much was Malaysia's foreign investment? Kuok's single investment in Indonesia is equivalent to as USD10 billion dollars! Don't you want to screw the couple: PKHKC!?
At the moment, Kuok's take towards China's palm oil contract with Malaysia was to remain with the agreed terms. There won't be any increase. Indonesia has more palm oil than Malaysia . It is cheaper too. Now that Kuok had invested so much money in Indonesia , the Government of Indonesia would have treated him as their God of Wealth. Certainly, open to negotiate anything with him. Moreover, Indonesia has been eyeing to take over the China palm oil supply contract from Malaysia .
The CONSOLATION China gave in return for not increasing the purchase of palm oil was buying frozen durian. Do the Chinese people have the habit of eating durian it? How much time and effort is needed to market frozen durian from Malaysia ? Thai durian may not sell well in China , let alone Malaysia frozen durian?
Business is business, who would supply millions of dollars' worth of frozen durian into a brand new market with no durian eating habits? Should the Chinese people become non-receptive of it, how do we deal with return goods? A total loss with capital. Is this how to do business?
Earlier this year, when the news hit the papers that Kuok made an announcement to invest USD 10 billion in Indonesia, many criticized Kuok for being unpatriotic, preferring to take so much money into Indonesia instead of Malaysian. What CRAP! You arm-twisted him to take over his empire, forcing the man to leave Malaysia in hurt & humiliation; now that the man ignores the Malaysian market, and you criticize him? Have you guys got balls for brains?
For him to bring his huge investment to Australia & Indonesia instead of Malaysia , who is to be blamed?
Incidentally, Kuok is not just China's hotelier, king of cooking oil, the world's sugar King; he is also the patent owner of the Coca-cola soft drink brand in the Chinese market. Kuok is involved in a diversity of businesses in China . He created many job opportunities for China . The Chinese central government and leaders have great respect for him as an entrepreneur. When the man speaks, the weight it carries can be far-reaching.
So far, Kuok is the only man who never accepted any of the titles rolled out for outstanding Malaysians.
Many people address him as Tan Sri Robert Kuok, In actual fact, he does not have these titles, he doesn't need them.
To put the record straight, he is neither Tan Sri nor Dato‚

Preventing Stroke.
FROM THE INTERNET: UNKNOWN WRITER SHARING HIS/HER EXPERIENCES WITH STROKE. MAY GOD BLESS HIM/HER FOR ALL THE TROUBLES TAKEN TO RECORD THE DETAILS FOR US. MAY ALL OF US WHO READ THIS BE SPARED FROM THE DREADFUL STROKE. – DAVE LI WANJI (W.MOKHTAR RAMLEE).
Please read, many minor symptoms that most people omitted.
PREVENTING STROKE Three years ago I was struck down by a stroke. Three years later I am still stricken with the malady. In the beginning, I asked doctors about the condition and was told that there is no cure for stroke. . I asked about the symptoms and was told there are no symptoms meaning a stroke will attack a person suddenly, without warning. That is bad news, very bad news.
Following my own advice, I did not believe that. So, I thought back to my experiences and I found that there are plenty of signs that a person is susceptible to an attack of the deadly stroke. Hah! If you cannot cure it at least you can prevent it. That is what we should all do. We must choose to avoid the stroke or be condemned to consuming tons of pills whose veracity is questionable. How do we go about that, how can we prevent stroke. Will it be expensive? Will it be time consuming? Before we go into details let us first recognize the symptoms, the signs if you like.
More than thirty years ago, while reversing my car, I suddenly found that I could not move my right leg. It simply refused to obey me. I went to see a doctor immediately and all I got was two days medical leave. That was the first sign that I was heading for a stroke. After two days rest, I was back on my feet as if nothing had happened. I just put it down to work stress and physical and mental exhaustion. When I was afflicted with the stroke and certain parts of my body refused to obey me I realized that I had experienced that feeling before.
I will now endeavor to put down on paper, for you, the other signs so that you may recognize a potential victim before the stroke strikes and be able to take evasive steps to prevent it happening. These signs will be presented randomly as they come to mind.
1. When walking you stumble even on level ground.
2. You kick the legs of chairs and tables when you usually walk pass them effortlessly. 1 & 2 is because your legs are not as strong as they used to be although you do not realize it.
3. You sometimes find you cannot pronounce the 'ar' sound and it comes out as 'el', your speech is slurred and sometimes you drool. 4. The pen you are holding slips from your fingers. Holding up the newspaper can be a problem because your fingers have lost their flexibility. You think it is clumsiness when in truth it is not. It is caused by your muscles having lost their strength.
5. After sitting for some time you find that you cannot stand up as usual. You lose your balance and fall back onto the seat. 6. You also lose your balance when you squat and may find yourself sitting instead of standing up.
7. You are always sleepy even after a good night's sleep. This sleepiness is quite different from the usual tiredness you experience after a restless or late night.8. Urinating has become a problem. Instead of a strong stream what you get is a trickle and this causes you to go to the toilet often.9. Constipation becomes more frequent as your rectal muscles do not work well anymore. 10. Sometimes you will find you are forgetful and mental activities become difficult as your brain weakens through lack of nourishment. Blood is not getting through to your brain quickly enough.
Some of these signs will come and go, so much so that you do not take them seriously when they do occur. You tend to pass them off as signs of physical and mental stress and fatigue or in certain cases of aging. Since there is no pain you do not think it necessary to see a doctor. Anyway, the signs come on only momentarily and disappear almost at once. So that you think it is not anything serious and a visit to a doctor is out of the question, until it is too late that is. Then, it is the doctor who has to come to you. Another thing, the signs are similar to many other diseases and illnesses which are quite common. Seeing a doctor would be rather pointless, as far as a stroke is concerned, as you would only describe the symptoms you are experiencing at that particular moment.
Now we come to the important part of this discourse, how do we prevent stroke. What can we do or rather what should we do when these signs appear one by one. Let it be known that I am not a doctor and never in my dreams do I even pretend to be one. So what I am about to tell you is mostly from my own experience.
Firstly, when you find that your body is not functioning as it should, that some parts are slacking and not obeying your brain as it normally does, you should start exercising. Go for long walks. Incidentally, you will experience immediate benefits even while exercising, such as clearer vision and mental alertness.
Make it a habit to go for walks at least three times a week. Do not stop. I did go for walks but then I stopped when the symptoms disappeared. I made the mistake of not exercising for far too long and then it was too late. The stroke struck! Remember, regular exercise is very important in promoting blood circulation. Of course, other forms of exercises will be just as good for you. One word of advise, exercises performed with the use of machines are not necessarily the best and that is why I advocate free hand exercises like walking, jogging and swimming.
Drinking lots of water helps immensely. Drink two glasses of water first thing in the morning every morning. Then drink one or two mouthfuls every half hour or whenever thirsty. This is to provide the blood stream with a regular supply of fresh water as our body gets rid of water all the time. We lose water when we breathe, sweat and urinate. Lack of water means poor blood circulation which can lead to stroke. Eating proper foods is also important and I mean greens and fruits on a daily basis. Everything else can be enjoyed in moderation. A monk who practices healing advised me on certain foods to take to prevent the occurrence of stroke. It is my pleasure to be able to share it with you here. He said that to prevent stroke I should drink a soup made of one cucumber and one red tomato. Boil them together, strain and drink one or two glasses daily. That will help prevent the blood from coagulating (or is it congealing?). Stroke affects the brain and the best remedy for it is egg yolk. The monk suggested I take the yolk from free-range chickens leaving out the white. The egg must be hard boiled. Consuming egg yolks is also recommended for elderly people as well as school children because it helps to nourish the brain and thus improves memory..
Okey, you are now as expert as I am in the matter of strokes. Share the information herein with anyone and everyone who is willing to lend you their ears. Perhaps, there will be less people afflicted with the dreaded stroke (slight shiver).
MAY YOU ALL ALWAYS BE WELL,MAY YOU ALL ALWAYS BE HAPPY. GBU ALL!!
COPIED AND FORWARDED TO YOU BY DAVE LI WANJI (W.MOKHTAR RAMLEE), WRITER OF THEtree & POHON BERINGIN

GBU ALL!!
